About Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s first story was a daring tale of romantic intrigue set among a colony of squirrels. This story had a lot of potential, but she abandoned it as a fickle seven-year-old and has never picked it back up again. To the eternal sorrow of those rabid fans of the squirrel romantic intrigue genre. (Elizabeth did not approve the presence of that unfortunate “rabid” pun in the preceding sentence.)

Elizabeth has never fully left behind the sort of fantastical world where squirrels can experience romantic intrigue, which explains why her first young adult novel, Will o’ the Wisp, is all about fairies, talking rats, and a gateway to another world located in a subway station. Who knows? Eventually, there may even be romantic intrigue amongst the squirrels on Boston Common.

Elizabeth grew up in the tiny, charming state of Rhode Island, went to school in Boston, and spent a few years living in New Orleans and Washington, D.C. before moving back to Boston. Elizabeth is quite sure that Boston is the best place in the entire universe. If you click here, she’ll try to convince you she’s right.

Elizabeth is taking a sojourn away from Boston at the moment, transitioning to a new career as a professor. You can follow her journey as a New Englander in New Orleans on her blog.
